The name

Yes, it stands for Punch In The Face. The target is the walled-garden era of AI: models you can rent but never own, licenses that read like ransom notes, and "open" that isn't. PITF is our jab back — a community hub where open-weight models are first-class citizens.

What this is

PITF lets anyone browse, download, and publish open models. Every model gets a card with its files, README, license, and stats. There is no review queue and no gatekeeping: publish a model and it is live immediately.

• Download — every file on a model card is a real download link.
• Publish — submit a model with a form and it's in the index.
• Read — release notes and essays live on the blog.

An honest demo

PITF is a demo application. The model catalog is seeded with fictional orgs (🥊 pitf-labs, clinch-ml, southpaw…) and the downloadable "weights" are small placeholder files — the only real content is each model's README. Anything you publish works end-to-end; it just won't make a GPU sweat.

Under the hood

FastAPI + SQLite + Jinja2, server-rendered, no JavaScript build step. Theme preference is stored in your browser's localStorage and never touches our servers (see Privacy).
